Hello!
                    My penname is J. Crown and I'm an aspiring author. I'm 21 years old and a Virgo (if that matters, aha). I live in Michigan and love to write fantasy novels, short stories, poems, and scientific essays. You may already recognize my works if you are familiar with the website quotev.com, on which I've posted and update my main novels with success, but most importantly, good luck.
                    I'm an artist, musician, something of a scientist, and most importantly, if you're on this blog, a writer. If you're interested in looking at my art or other projects, feel free to look at my instagram @j.crown_literature. 
                    I have a dog, named Milo, and a wonderful bipolar cat named Erwin, who I would not replace for anything in this world (Yes, he scratches me. And yes, I torture him with an obscene amount of kisses. A correlation? No, none at all). 
                    Hmmm... What else... 
                    Ah: I've been writing for more than ten years, but only began to share my writing online in 2016. Since then, I've explored the webnovel scene and can confidently say it is rough, not well subsidized work. As someone who wants to branch past that and its limitations (I'll post specifics in a separate page), I plan on minoring in creative writing as I pursue my undergrad. If I stumble across any resources, you can best believe I will be sharing them! 
                    If you, as a fellow writer or a reader, have any other questions, feel free to comment and I would be honored to respond. If it's something I find I overlooked, it might spur a post. As information only continues to grow in its heaps of volume and alarming speed, I hope we can create a community here on this blog as we stumble through new avenues together.

Hello dear readers! As I endeavor to publish my first completed novel, I wanted to give a preview of the official cover! I actually hired a designer, Cesar Padro, to create this cover, and working closely with the themes in the story, I present the new and improved cover for: Dear Dove! The informational/promotional material might change as I go through editing, but this is roughly what the finished product will look like! As this is my first time publishing, I've run into a lot of bumps along the way; I'm still not entirely sure if I will keep trying to self-publish (the formatting and tax forms make it really confusing and tricky) or if I'll take this story to a traditional publisher. New Novel: Dear Dove,

  Dear Dove, For months Carmilla had been receiving disturbing letters from an obsessive stalker who refers to themselves as 'Crow'; the contents of the letters growing more and more disturbing. Appearing on her porch, the handle of her car, the mailbox at her workplace- the invasive love letters eventually turned to strange, inexplicable packages. Working closely with the police, everything seems to come to a clean resolve when the authorities catch the alleged suspect in the act of delivering yet another letter- the sign-off the familiar message of "Forever yours, Crow".
